IBP Adapter Cable User Manual


Intended Use & Indications for Use

This IBP adapter cable is designed for the electrical connection between a patient monitor and a pressure transducer. It is fully compatible and intended for use with major brands of patient monitor and disposable pressure transducers.

Storage and Handling:

When not in use, cables should be loosely coiled and stored in room temperature. Don’t wrap cables around equipment to avoid damaging internal wires.

Operating Conditions:

  • Ambient temperature: 0 to +40°C
  • Relative humidity: 15 to 85%
  • Atmospheric pressure: 86kpa ~106kpa

Storage and Packaging:

These cables are individually packaged.
Cables must be stored in its original packaging and within the storage conditions to maximize their storage life.
Storage conditions are as follows:

  • Ambient temperature: -10 to +40°C
  • Relative humidity: 15 to 85%
  • Atmospheric pressure: 86kpa ~106kpa

Cleaning

This cable must be cleaned using a soft cloth moistened with soapy water or 70% isopropyl alcohol. Allow the cable to dry thoroughly before use. Do not use any abrasive agents or chemical product except 70% isopropyl alcohol.
Do not irradiate, autoclave, soak or immerse the cable in any kind of solution.

    Warranty and Liability

    The manufacturer offers 12 months warranty against defects in material or workmanship from the date of purchase. But does not cover the damage or breakage due to the abusive use or negligent care of the cable. We guarantee that the equipment conforms to the specifications of the safety and performance standards currently in force and applicable to it.

    Warning:

    1. Ensure the cable is physically intact, with no broken or frayed wires or damaged parts. Visually inspect the cable and discard if cracks or discoloration are found.
    2. Do not attempt to reprocess, recondition or recycle the cables as these processes may damage the electrical components, potentially leading to patient harm.
    3. Failure to properly connect the transducer or the cable to the patient monitor will result in intermittent readings, inaccurate results, or no readings.
    4. To avoid damage to the cable, always hold it by the connector rather than the cable when connecting or disconnecting either end.
    5. Always refer to the patient monitor operator’s manual for complete instructions or additional instructions.
    6. Carefully route cable and patient cable to reduce the possibility of patient entanglement or strangulation.
